I take much pride in my academic lineage, and this is my academic family tree. My academic father (doctoral chair and advisor) is one of America’s high-performing and highly-successful Educational Psychologists, Prof. Emeritus Richard Anderson. His academic father was the esteemed psycholinguist and psychometrician, J. B. Caroll who came from an academic lineage of renowned psychologists and theorists. My academic father has an academic society founded in his honor called the National Consortium of Instruction and Cognition. We meet every year during the same time as the American Educational Research Association annual meeting to network with current and new members of our society. It is opened to all academics and their graduate students who has an academic connection to Professor Anderson and as his 61st academic child (or student whom he has served as doctoral chair), I look forward to have my current and future graduate students to become a part of this prominent academic family in the name of building new ties and expanding UPM’s global reach, especially in the field of educational studies.
